PINECREST, FLORIDA
ORIGINAL ENTRANCE RENOVATION
Complete historical renovation of the original Parrot Jungle entrance at Pinecrest Gardens, in Pinecrest, Fl. This building was originally constructed in 1936 and was left dilapidated from a fire in the late 80’s. The Village of Pinecrest chose HB Construction to conduct the extensive renovation in order to reopen the building to the public. Completed in 2009, this project consisted of structural, mechanical and electrical upgrades as well as intricate exterior and interior wood work such as 16 ft Southern Yellow Pine timber poles installed on the new tongue and groove ceiling of the interior. This project demanded the contractor use extreme caution to surrounding environments due to the unique and precious botanical gardens that surround this building. This site was recently designated Historical by the National Historical Society.
